Second Saturdays
This spring, celebrate the return of growth and light outdoors with a dose of creative family fun. Join friends and neighbors for fun projects every Second Saturday of the month at the Elmhurst Art Museum. All ages welcome and remember to bring your parent! 10:00 a.m. – Noon. Materials and instruction included. Suggested donation: $5.00.
Gordon Powell
Mimic artists Gordon Powell through using painting, drawing, and collage techniques on wood. Construct a personalized piece of contemporary art that explores the classic puzzle form frequently utilized by the artist.

Michael Ferris
Gather inspiration from the complex surfaces of Michael Ferris’ sculpture. Dive into creating your 3D work of art using paint and other provided materials that will allow you to experiment with ideas that express yourself.

BillyTokyo
Create an imaginary character inspired by the totems of Billy Toyko. Utilizing pre-cut shapes of paper and foam, assemble the pieces to craft a personalized image.

Art in Park
EAM will be free to the public 10 am - 5 pm all weekend long. Bring the entire family to enjoy the artists, food and other fun activities! Visit EAM's Art Tent to try one of four fun art activities.

Museum Day
Join us to celebrate International Museum Day. Ride the trolley to all four of Elmhurst’s Museums. Each Museum features a free family activity to enjoy. At EAM, the scientific and structural artistic investigations of Mario Trejo will inspire visitors. Families will create projects using a pre-inked scratchboard to capture repeated marks and indentations against a dark surface. What will you discover? This program is free and open to the public.

Art on the Run
Visit EAM this summer to give your young ones a dose of fun and education. After strolling through the galleries drop in for a free art activity led by EAM’s education instructors featuring the work of exhibiting artists. Projects change weekly, so come back again to create something new.
