Ignite your child’s creative spirit at the Museum’s arts camps! Our experienced, creative arts councilors will be your child’s guide to expressive, innovative
and fun art projects–while teaching new skills in painting and drawing, pottery, sculpture and mixedmedia. Once each week, campers will take fieldtrips
to arts destinations in Chicagoland. Campers will receive a free Art Camp tee-shirt; please bring a sketchbook, lunch and drink each day.

Precisely Detailed: Insect Illustrations and the Field Museum’s Collection
Join Field Museum entomologist Jim Louderman for a presentation with live and preserved insects from the Field Museum’s Collection. Louderman’s expertise informed the stunning watercolor book, Illinois Insectsand Spiders by exhibiting artist Peggy Macnamara.Learn more about the interesting pairing of science and art prevalent throughout Macnamara’s work, view stunning plates from her book and take part in a guided exploration and art activity. Open to students, teachers and home school families serving grades 6-12. $3/person.
